A Guide to Club Soccer Goals
For more than 70 years, Jaypro has built soccer goals that coaches and facility managers trust. Our premium aluminum soccer goals deliver industry-leading strength and stability at a better value, from youth practice fields to official match play. Built for every level. Built to last.
Not every field needs a full-size regulation goal. Clubs, recreation leagues, parks, and youth programs need goals sized for the players who use them, tough enough for weekly games and practices, and easy to move when fields change over. That’s what Jaypro club goals are built for.
What Is a Club Soccer Goal?
A club goal is a portable goal built for club, recreational, youth, and practice play. Jaypro club goals use a 3″ O.D. round aluminum goal face, which keeps them lighter and easier to move than a regulation goal while still delivering the strength and clean look of a premium aluminum frame. They come in a wide range of sizes, from small 4 ft. x 6 ft. goals for the youngest players up to full 8 ft. x 24 ft. goals for older club and recreational teams.
One important note: high school (NFHS) and college (NCAA) rules call for posts and a crossbar between 4 and 5 inches wide. If your field hosts high school or college matches, choose a goal from Jaypro’s Nova regulation series, which uses a 4″ O.D. frame.
Club Goal Sizes by Age Group
U.S. Soccer’s small-sided standards set maximum goal sizes for youth play, increasing as players move from 4v4 to 7v7 to 9v9, and then to full 11v11 at U13. Jaypro club goals are made in each of those sizes.
| Age Group | Format | Maximum Goal Size | Jaypro Club Goals |
|---|---|---|---|
| U6 to U8 | 4v4 | 4 ft. x 6 ft. | RCG-6S, CC6S |
| U9 to U10 | 7v7 | 6.5 ft. x 18.5 ft. | RCG-18S, CC18S |
| U11 to U12 | 9v9 | 7 ft. x 21 ft. | RCG-21S, CC21S |
| U13 and up | 11v11 | 8 ft. x 24 ft. | RCG-24S, CC24S |
Jaypro also offers 4.5 ft. x 9 ft. and 6.5 ft. x 12 ft. club goals, which are useful for small-sided games, training sessions, and smaller fields. Local leagues can set their own rules, so it’s always worth confirming goal sizes with your league or state association.

Both lines use Jaypro’s Easy Track net attachment system. Easy Track is a channel built into the goal frame that rigid net clips snap into, so the net goes on quickly and the clips sit flush with no hardware sticking out.
Jaypro’s Commitment to Soccer Goal Safety
Every soccer goal, whatever its size, needs to be anchored. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has published its Guidelines for Movable Soccer Goal Safety to help schools, parks, and clubs prevent tip-over injuries. At Jaypro, we treat safety as part of the product, not an add-on. We also help shape the standards themselves, working with ASTM International and other manufacturers to develop and improve safety standards across many sports and equipment categories.
Jaypro’s Secure 4 Safety program is our soccer goal safety program, built to help facilities set up, anchor, and maintain their goals the right way, including an ASTM soccer goal counterweight chart so you know how much weight your goal needs. Every Jaypro club goal is built to meet the safety requirements of ASTM F2950, the Standard Safety and Performance Specification for Soccer Goals. Club goals are moved often between fields and practices, which makes re-anchoring them every time they’re set up especially important.
Soccer Goal Safety Checklist
- Keep goals anchored or counterweighted at all times, in play, in storage, or on the sideline
- Re-anchor goals every time they are moved to a new spot
- Secure goals at the rear, with anchors flush to the ground and clearly visible
- Never let anyone climb on, hang from, or do chin-ups on a goal
- Inspect goals, anchors, and hardware regularly and replace anything worn or damaged
